Ingredients

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 tablespoons loose black tea leaves or 4 tea bags

  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1-inch ginger, grated

  • 4-5 green cardamom pods, crushed

  • 4-5 whole cloves

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • A pinch of black pepper

  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Boil Water and Add Spices:

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add grated ginger, crushed cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Add Tea Leaves:

Add loose tea leaves or tea bags to the simmering spices. Brew for an additional 3-4 minutes.

Add Milk and Sugar:

Pour in the milk and add sugar. Simmer until the tea is well-infused with flavors.

Strain and Serve:

Strain the tea into cups. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve hot.
